Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill is the highest point of An Teallach, quite possibly the most impressive mountain in Britain. 'The Forge' is a jagged fortress of Torridonian sandstone towers, pinnacles, and ridges. The view from the summit, looking along the terrified, serrated spine of the mountain towards Sgurr Fiona, is one of the iconic images of Scottish mountaineering, capturing the essence of the wild northwest.

An Teallach means 'The Forge' or 'The Anvil', a name earned by its smoke-like mists and fierce, jagged shape. Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill is the 'Peak of the Grey Hollow'. It has magnetized climbers for over a century and is often cited as the favourite mountain of many.
