An Teallach - Sgurr Fiona Terrain Block

Sgùrr Fiona is the second main peak of An Teallach, the 'Peak of Wine' or 'White/Fair Peak'. It is the sharper, more elegant of the two, a perfect pyramid of sandstone. Sitting directly on the ridge, it commands the most dramatic views of the Corrag Bhuidhe pinnacles, the most technical section of the traverse. Standing here is to stand in the very jaws of the Forge, with air beneath your feet and the Atlantic gleaming in the distance.

About An Teallach - Sgurr Fiona

The name 'Peak of Wine' may refer to the water in a nearby well or simply be a corruption of 'Fionn' (White/Fair). It is the psychological climax of the An Teallach traverse, often reached after a scramble over the Pinnacles. It is celebrated in Gaelic Bards' songs for its beauty and terrifying grandeur.
