Aonach air Chrith Terrain Block

Aonach air Chrith is the highest point and centerpiece of the South Glen Shiel Ridge, a continuous chain of seven Munros. Its name 'Ridge of Trembling' refers to its narrow, steep-sided crest which can feel very airy indeed. The summit is a fine vantage point for looking back along the serpentine ridge you have conquered (or are about to). It is a peak of graceful lines and significant stature.

The 'Ridge of Trembling' captures the exposure felt on its narrowest sections, historically inducing fear in those with no head for heights. It forms the fulcrum of the classic South Shiel Ridge walk, one of the finest ridge bagging expeditions in the country.
