Aonach Beag Terrain Block

Aonach Beag is a massive mountain standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Aonach Mòr and Ben Nevis, forming a high triad of peaks. Despite its name 'Little Ridge', it is a true giant of Lochaber, featuring a small summit plateau and plunging, craggy faces. The north face holds snow patches that often last well into summer, and its remote eastern corries are seldom visited.

About Aonach Beag

Part of the 'Lochaber 4000s', only missed being a 4000ft peak by a small margin (before metrication redefined the magic number). Its north face is famous for 'Queen's View', allegedly where Queen Victoria admired the scenery, though this often refers to other spots.
