Aonach Eagach - Sgorr nam Fiannaidh Terrain Block

Sgorr nam Fiannaidh is the western Munro of the Aonach Eagach ridge, usually reached after the exhilarating traverse from Meall Dearg. It stands sentry over the mouth of Glencoe, offering a classic view towards the Pap of Glencoe and the sea. The descent via the Clachaig Gully is notoriously dangerous and usually avoided, with walkers preferring the scree slopes towards the Pap.

About Aonach Eagach - Sgorr nam Fiannaidh

Name means 'Peak of the Fingalian Warriors', linking it to the legendary band of Irish/Scottish warriors led by Fionn mac Cumhaill. Legends say they hunted in these hills. It marks the dramatic end of the ridge traverse before the drop to the sea.
