Beinn a' Bhùird Terrain Block

Beinn a' Bhùird is a mountain of vast scale, a remote giant in the eastern Cairngorms with a huge, rolling summit plateau. Its name 'Hill of the Table' perfectly describes its flat top, but this belies the dramatic eastern corries where sheer cliffs drop into deep, lonely hollows. It is one of the most remote Munros, usually requiring a long approach by bike or foot.

About Beinn a' Bhùird

In the 1960s, Beinn a' Bhùird was the site of a failed attempt to create a ski resort in the remote Mar Lodge estate. Remains of the ski tow infrastructure could be seen for years until they were removed to restore the wilderness.
