Beinn a' Bheithir - Sgorr Dhonuill Terrain Block

Sgorr Dhonuill is the sharper, more westerly of the two Munros on the magnificent Beinn a' Bheithir ridge. Rising steeply above the Ballachulish Bridge, it commands a spectacular position at the gateway to Glencoe. The ascent via the Dragon's Tooth ridge is a classic scramble, while the walk from the col offers a steep but rewarding climb. The summit provides breathtaking views down Loch Linnhe and out to the islands of the west coast.

About Beinn a' Bheithir - Sgorr Dhonuill

Part of the 'Hill of the Thunderbolt', Sgorr Dhonuill is often linked with legends of the Appin Stewarts. The nearby Dragon's Tooth (Sgorr a' Chaolais) is a distinctive rock feature that has challenged climbers for generations. The mountain overlooks the site of the infamous Appin Murder of 1752, a mystery that inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Kidnapped'.
