Beinn a' Chleibh Terrain Block

Beinn a' Chleibh is the lower neighbour of Ben Lui, standing southwest of its mighty parent. While often overshadowed by the Queen of the Southern Highlands, it provides a quick additional Munro and superb views back to Lui's magnificent north-facing corrie. It is a grassy, rounded hill that offers an easy extension.

About Beinn a' Chleibh

Name means 'Hill of the Basket' or 'Creel'. One of the lowest Munros at 916m. It was historically used for grazing sheep and cattle. The basket reference may relate to the shape of its corries or to fishing creels used on nearby rivers.
