Beinn Alligin - Tom na Gruagaich Terrain Block

Tom na Gruagaich is the southern Munro of Beinn Alligin, an immense fortress of red sandstone towers. The ascent via the Horns of Alligin involves a classic scramble over three distinct pinnacles. The summit is a fantastic viewpoint for the Upper Loch Torridon and the Shieldaig forest. It catches the late afternoon sun, glowing a deep, fiery red that defines the Torridon aesthetic.

About Beinn Alligin - Tom na Gruagaich

Name means 'Hill of the Damsel' or 'Maiden'. Often associated with a mythical maiden who combed her hair on the summit. The Horns of Alligin traverse is a modern classic, but the mountain has been a landmark for mariners for centuries.
