Beinn Chabhair Terrain Block

Beinn Chabhair is a rugged peak in the Crianlarich hills, often underestimated. The initial ascent past the Ben Glas waterfalls is steep and boggy, leading to a complex knobbly ridge. The summit is a distinct rocky perched block. It provides excellent views west towards Loch Lomond and the Arrochar Alps, bridging the gap between the lush lowlands and the rugged highlands.

About Beinn Chabhair

Name means 'Hill of the Hawk', fitting for its sharp, craggy outlook points where birds of prey are often seen soaring. It was a traditional boundary marker for the drovers moving cattle. The waterfalls on the ascent are among the finest in the area.
