Beinn Dubhchraig Terrain Block

Beinn Dubhchraig, the 'Hill of the Black Rock', lies near Crianlarich and is famous for its ancient Caledonian pine forest. The walk through the Coire Dubhchraig offers a walk through some of the finest native woodland remnants in the southern Highlands. Above the trees, the mountain rises to a pleasant ridge and a rocky summit with fine views of Ben Lui.

About Beinn Dubhchraig

The 'Black Rock' name refers to the dark crags on its northern face. The ancient pines of the Black Wood of Rannoch extend here, some trees being hundreds of years old. It is often climbed in conjunction with Ben Oss.
