Beinn Eunaich Terrain Block

Beinn Eunaich is a steep-sided, grassy mountain overlooking Glen Strae near Dalmally. Often climbed in conjunction with Beinn a' Chochuill, it offers a fine, airy ridge walk. The summit provides excellent views down to Loch Awe and Kilchurn Castle. Its southern slopes are relentless, but the ridge connecting it to its neighbour is a delight of easy walking on short turf.

About Beinn Eunaich

The name means 'Hill of Fowling' or 'Birds', suggesting it was a place for hunting game birds. It lies on the edge of the Campbell lands of Argyll. The long south ridge was a traditional route for shepherds accessing the high pastures.
