Beinn Fhionnlaidh Terrain Block

Beinn Fhionnlaidh is a long, straight ridge of a mountain running from Glen Creran towards Glen Etive. It is a singular peak, usually climbed on its own. The ridge is narrow and rocky in places, leading to a fine craggy summit. It offers a unique 'corridor' view down Loch Etive to the sea, framing the sunset beautifully in the west.

About Beinn Fhionnlaidh

Name means 'Finlay's Hill'. Who Finlay was is lost to history, but the name is common. It was once a key route for moving cattle between the glorious glens of Creran and Etive. The Creran approach passes through beautiful native woodlands.
