Beinn Liath Mhòr Fannaich Terrain Block

Beinn Liath Mhòr Fannaich was promoted to Munro status in 1997. It is the 'Big Grey Hill' of the Fannichs, a bulky shoulder that boasts a fine eastern corrie. It is usually climbed en route to Sgurr Mòr, providing a rocky platform to view the more dramatic peaks of the ridge. Despite its subsidiary appearance, it offers a fine sense of solidity.

About Beinn Liath Mhòr Fannaich

A 'new' Munro, promoted from Top status. It served as a flank guard for the main Fannich ridge. Its cairn offers a respite before the steep pull up Sgurr Mòr. The promotion to Munro status saw a significant increase in its footfall.
