Beinn Ìme Terrain Block

Beinn Ìme is the highest of the Arrochar Alps, a massive crouching lion of a mountain. Unlike the rocky Cobbler nearby, it is bulkier and grassier, but its height commands the best views in the district. From the summit, you can see the Paps of Jura and Ben Nevis on a clear day. It stands as the king of this popular range.

About Beinn Ìme

Name means 'Butter Hill', referring to the rich grazing on its slopes (used for making butter). It stands apart from the jagged peaks of the Cobbler, representing the pastoral wealth of the high shielings. Legend has it that the butter produced here was the sweetest in Argyll.
