Beinn Mheadhoin Terrain Block

Deep in the heart of the Cairngorms lies Beinn Mheadhoin, a remote and spectacular mountain famous for the granite tors that crown its broad summit plateau. Known as 'The Barns of Beinn Mheadhoin', these rocky outcrops require a short scramble to reach the true high point. The mountain overlooks the jewel-like Loch Avon and the Shelter Stone, offering some of the most atmospheric scenery in the range.

About Beinn Mheadhoin

The tors are geological survivors, remnants of rock that withstood the scouring of the last Ice Age. The mountain's name means 'Middle Hill', reflecting its central position in the Cairngorm massif. It has been a place of wonder for visitors since the Victorian era.
