Beinn Sgritheall Terrain Block

Beinn Sgritheall is often cited as the steepest Munro, rising relentlessly from the very shores of Loch Hourn to a lofty summit. The effort is rewarded with perhaps the finest view of the Isle of Skye and the Knoydart peninsula available anywhere. Its slopes are a mix of steep grass and scree, requiring strong legs, but the feeling of height above the sea is unmatched.

About Beinn Sgritheall

The 'Scree Hill' lives up to its name. It stands in the remote territory of Glenelg, near the site of the best-preserved Iron Age brochs on the mainland. It has long been a watchtower over the Sound of Sleat, commanding the sea lanes.
