Beinn Teallach Terrain Block

Beinn Teallach is famously the lowest Munro (by some measurements, or close to it), a fact that saved it from demotion in recent surveys. It is a grassy, rounded hill north of Glen Spean, rising opposite the Creag Meagaidh range. While it lacks the drama of its neighbours, it provides a fine, quieter viewpoint for admiring them. It is usually climbed with Beinn a' Chaorainn.

About Beinn Teallach

Name means 'Forge Hill' or 'Hearth Hill'. It was promoted from Corbett status in 1984, securing its popularity. Before that, it was largely ignored by baggers. It sits above the Roughburn, a historic charcoal burning area.
