Ben Klibreck - Meall nan Con Terrain Block

Ben Klibreck is the second most northerly Munro, a huge, sprawling mass of extensive slopes rising from the flat lands of Sutherland. It dominates the area around Altnaharra. The climb is a long, uninterrupted pull that rewards you with a feeling of immense space and solitude. The summit view encompasses the vast stillness of the flow country and the distant coast.

About Ben Klibreck - Meall nan Con

Name means 'Hill of the Speckled Cliff' (Gaelic/Norse mix). It was the site of a plane crash in the 1950s. The nearby Crask Inn is a legendary rest stop for those bagging this remote peak. It has long been a landmark for travellers in the far north.
