Ben More Terrain Block

Ben More is the highest mountain on the Isle of Mull and the only island Munro outside of Skye. It is a massive, conical volcano remnant that dominates the island. The ascent from the sea shore at Loch na Keal is sustained and steep, leading to a rocky summit ridge that offers stunning views of the Hebrides. It is a magnet for island baggers.

About Ben More

Name means 'Big Hill'. Formed from ancient volcanic activity 60 million years ago. It is the climax of the Isle of Mull's geology. In Norse times, it was a key navigation point for Vikings sailing the Western Isles.
