Ben Starav Terrain Block

Ben Starav is a sleek, beautiful mountain rising steeply from the waters of Loch Etive. It is composed of solid granite and offers varied ridges for ascent. The north ridge is a classic scramble, leading to a fine, sharp summit. It is often considered one of the finest mountains in the Southern Highlands for its sea-loch setting and rock quality.

About Ben Starav

Name means 'Hill of Rustling', perhaps from the wind or streams on its slopes. It is a favourite of rock climbers for its quality granite. The isolation down the long dead-end road of Glen Etive keeps the crowds away compared to Glencoe.
