Bidean nam Bian - Stob Coire Sgreamhach Terrain Block

Stob Coire Sgreamhach is the eastern fortress of the Bidean nam Bian massif. Its name 'Peak of the Dreadful Corrie' refers to the steep, formidable nature of its northern cliffs. It guards the head of the famous Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail) and offers a spectacular, airy ridge walk to the main Bidean summit.

Part of the Bidean complex but promoted to Munro status in 1997, recognizing its distinct summit. Its dramatic name fits the sombre mood of Glencoe's history, especially the 1692 Massacre. It offers a spectacular look back at the main summit of Bidean.
