Buachaille Etive Beag - Stob Dubh Terrain Block

Stob Dubh is the main summit of Buachaille Etive Beag, the 'Little Herdsman of Etive'. It forms the iconic triangular peak seen from the road through Glen Coe. It is a rugged, rocky peak offering a fantastic horseshoe walk with its neighbour Stob Coire Raineach, with dramatic views of the Great Herdsman.

The 'Black Peak' stands as a sentinel over the famous Lairig Gartain pass, used for centuries to move between Glencoe and Glen Etive. It is less frequented than its bigger brother, the Buachaille Etive Mòr, offering a quieter experience.
