Bynack More Terrain Block

Bynack More is a remote granite mountain in the eastern Cairngorms, famous for the distinctive tors of the 'Barns of Bynack' that crown its summit ridge. These huge, weather-sculpted rocks are survivors of the ice ages. The mountain requires a long approach but rewards with a true sense of Cairngorm wilderness.

About Bynack More

Name means 'Big Pointed Hill'. The Barns are a geological wonder. It is a designated wild land area. The approach via the Lairig an Laoigh is a classic long day, passing through ancient Caledonian pine forest.
