Càrn a' Choire Bhoidheach Terrain Block

Càrn a' Choire Bhoidheach, the 'Cairn of the Beautiful Corrie', is a flat-topped summit on the White Mounth plateau. While the summit itself is an indistinct rise on the moorland, the corrie to the north is indeed beautiful, holding snow late into the spring. It is often climbed with Lochnagar, from which it feels like a vast, stony backyard.

The mountain's name highlights the importance of the corrie to the local shepherds and stalkers, likely for its shelter and grazing quality. The Stuic buttress on its northern side provides a dramatic climbing route, contrasting with the gentle dome of the summit.
