Càrn Gorm Terrain Block

Càrn Gorm is the shapely 'Blue Hill' that anchors the western end of the four-Munro circuit north of Glen Lyon. Its summit is marked by a distinctive cluster of cairns. The approach through the beautiful Birch woods of Invervar is one of the most pleasant in the Southern Highlands. From the top, the view stretches across the vast wilderness of Rannoch Moor.

About Càrn Gorm

Glen Lyon is known as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland. Càrn Gorm stands sentinel over its upper reaches. The mountain has long been part of the Chesthill estate, and walkers are encouraged to stick to the recommended route to minimize disturbance to the deer herds that have roamed here for millennia.
