Càrn na Caim Terrain Block

Càrn na Caim is a vast, rolling plateau Munro located near the Drumochter Pass. Its name 'Cairn of the Curve' describes the shape of the corrie rim. While the ascent from the A9 is relatively short, the plateau itself is featureless and difficult to navigate in mist. In winter, it becomes an arctic wasteland, requiring good skills.

About Càrn na Caim

The mountain marked the boundary of the clans and now the administrative border. The plateau has been used for centuries for grazing sheep and deer. Looking east, one can see the wild expanse of the Gaick Pass, a route steeped in supernatural folklore.
