Càrn nan Gobhar (Mullardoch) Terrain Block

Càrn nan Gobhar is a rocky, boulder-strewn peak on the north side of the huge Loch Mullardoch. Part of the arduous Mullardoch Round, it is a peak of rough character, with a summit ridge that feels endless to weary legs. The views south to the Affric giants are superb, making the effort worthwhile.

About Càrn nan Gobhar (Mullardoch)

Meaning 'Cairn of the Goats', this mountain was likely home to feral goat herds. Its position in one of the most remote ridge traverses in Scotland gives it a reputation for toughness. The construction of the Mullardoch dam changed the access, flooding the lower glens.
