Ciste Dhubh Terrain Block

Ciste Dhubh is a dramatic peak in Glen Affric, rising steeply from the Bealach an Sgairne. It is a dark, rocky pyramid that dominates the pass. The ascent is steep but exhilarating, leading to an airy summit with views down to the long lochs of Affric. It is often climbed with Aonach Meadhoin.

About Ciste Dhubh

Name means 'Black Chest' or 'Black Coffin', referring to its dark, box-like appearance from certain angles. It guards one of the main passes through the highlands. The area has been a route for travellers for centuries.
