Cona' Mheall Terrain Block

Cona' Mheall may be overshadowed by its grand neighbour Beinn Dearg, but it is a fine mountain in its own right. It features a spectacular rocky ridge and steep scree slopes that drop into the wild Coire Ghranda. The view looking back at the massive cliffs of Beinn Dearg is one of the highlights of the ascent. It is a remote peak, usually climbed as part of the classic round of four Munros from Inverlael.

About Cona' Mheall

The name is often translated as 'Hill of the Enchantment' or 'Meeting Hill'. Its rugged character is typical of the Ross-shire hills. The deep corries surrounding it were traditionally used for summer grazing, and old shielings can still be found in the lower glens, marking a lost way of life.
