Creise Terrain Block

Creise is a dramatic mountain in the Black Mount, famous for its spectacular eastern cliffs that plunge into the wilderness. It is usually climbed from the Kings House Hotel, via the 'Bad Step' on its northeastern ridge. The summit is a flat, stony plateau, but the views of Rannoch Moor and the Buachaille are outstanding.

About Creise

Name origin is uncertain, possibly Gaelic for 'narrow' or 'horse'. Its cliffs are a magnet for winter climbers. It stands as a sentinel at the northern end of the Black Mount, guarding the entrance to Glencoe.
