Cruach Ardrain Terrain Block

Cruach Ardrain is a prominent mountain near Crianlarich, identifiable by its distinctive Y-shaped gully on its northern face. It is a rugged, rocky peak offering several routes of varying difficulty. The classic route goes via the 'Grey Heights' ridge. It provides excellent views of the Crianlarich hills and Loch Lomond.

About Cruach Ardrain

Name means 'Stack/Mound of the High Part'. The Y-gully is a famous winter climb. It was the first Munro for many hillwalkers due to its accessibility from the West Highland Line. Rob Roy MacGregor knew these hills intimately.
