Mayar Terrain Block

Mayar is a gentle, plateau-like Munro usually climbed with Driesh. Its crowning glory is the ascent via Corrie Fee, a stunning glacial amphitheatre of waterfalls and crags. Once on the summit plateau, the terrain is easy and grassy. It is a popular hill for families and those starting their Munro journey.

About Mayar

The name might mean 'High Plain'. The transition from the dramatic Corrie Fee to the flat summit is a lesson in glacial geography. The nature reserve in the corrie is home to rare alpine blue-sowthistle and other survivors of the ice age.
