Meall Garbh Terrain Block

Meall Garbh (Lawers) is a 'Rough Hill' of broken ridges and false summits. It sits south of Ben Lawers and adds a rugged element to the generally grassy range. The summit area is a complex of hummocks and hollows, confusing in poor visibility. It offers a different perspective on the Lawers giants.

About Meall Garbh

Often noted for its 'rough' nature compared to the smooth slopes of its neighbours. The Lawers range has a long history of human occupation, with shielings found high up the glens. It is a key part of the designated National Nature Reserve.
