Meall Ghaordaidh Terrain Block

Meall Ghaordaidh is a solitary Munro between Glen Lyon and Glen Lochay. It is a massive, boulder-strewn dome. The upper slopes are notably rocky, contrasting with the grass lower down. The summit trig point commands an excellent 360-degree panorama of the Southern Highlands. It is popularly climbed from Glen Lochay.

About Meall Ghaordaidh

The name is obscure, possibly 'Hill of the Shoulder/Arm'. The distinct summit cone makes it easy to identify. The area around its base is rich in archaeological remains, including cup-marked stones, hinting at ancient reverence for these hills.
