Meall Gorm Terrain Block

Meall Gorm is a central peak in the magnificent Fannichs ridge. It is a broad, mossy eminence that connects the eastern and western halves of the range. The south ridge offers a fine route of ascent, passing the remote Loch a' Choire Reidh. The summit is a fantastic platform to view the entire jagged spine of the Fannichs.

About Meall Gorm

The 'Blue Hill' (or Green, depending on interpretation) is typical of the Fannichs—remote, grassy, and steep. The range was the scene of the 'Destitution Road' construction during the famine years. The remote location meant this was one of the last areas to be accurately mapped.
