Meall nan Aighean Terrain Block

Meall nan Aighean (often called Meall nan Eun on older maps) is a rocky peak in the Glen Lyon horseshoe. It is the easternmost of the group, known for its craggy summit which provides a fun scramble. It sits apart from the others, separated by a deep col, giving it a distinct identity. The view down into the depths of Glen Lyon is impressive.

About Meall nan Aighean

The name means 'Hill of the Hinds', celebrating the red deer that are synonymous with this estate. It was once a place of summer pasture. The confusion with Meall nan Eun has persisted, but 'Aighean' is the established modern name for this Munro.
