Monadh Mòr Terrain Block

Monadh Mòr is a remote giant of the Cairngorms, a high, rolling plateau that feels like the roof of the world. It is usually reached after a long trek from Glen Feshie or the Linn of Dee. The terrain is a vast expanse of moss, grass, and gravel, typical of the high Cairngorms. It offers solitude and silence found in few other places.

About Monadh Mòr

The 'Big Hill' or 'Big Moor' was a traditional crossing point. Its flatness made it deceptive in poor weather, catching out many a traveller. It is a haven for dotterel and other high-altitude specialist birds.
