Sail Chaorainn Terrain Block

Sail Chaorainn is a remote mountain located north of Loch Mullardoch, usually climbed as part of the arduous Mullardoch Round. It sits on a ridge spur south of the main Carn Eige range. The summit is a grassy top that offers extensive views over the wild country of the West Monar forest. It is a peak of solitude, far from any road.

About Sail Chaorainn

The 'Heel of the Rowan' (or Boggy Place). Its position made it a natural boundary marker. The heavy grazing of deer in this area has kept the slopes smooth and grassy. It is separated from its neighbours by deep, steep-sided corries.
