Sgùrr nan Gillean Terrain Block

Sgùrr nan Gillean is arguably the most beautiful peak in the Cuillin. Its triple-peaked profile is a classic skyline visible from Sligachan. The ascent via the Tourist Route is a scramble, and the West Ridge is a rock climb. The summit is a small, exposed perch with jaw-dropping views into the heart of the ridge. The 'Peak of the Young Men'. Justifiably famous, it attracts climbers from around the world. The 'Pinnacle Ridge' is one of the classic mountaineering routes in the UK. It demands respect and skill. It was one of the first peaks in Skye to be climbed by tourists in the Victorian era.
