Sgor Gaibhre Terrain Block

Sgor Gaibhre is a companion to Carn Dearg in the heart of the Ben Alder region. It is a conical peak that sits centrally in the high ground between Loch Ericht and Loch Ossian. The ascent from Corrour Station is a classic outing, offering a sense of remoteness unique to this roadless area.

About Sgor Gaibhre

The 'Peak of the Goat'. Its location near the highest railway station in the UK makes it a favorite for rail-borne hillwalkers. The vast surrounding moorland was the setting for scenes in 'Trainspotting' (at Corrour), imbuing the area with modern cultural significance.
