Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg Terrain Block

Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg is a mountain on the South Glen Shiel Ridge famous for its narrow northern spur. The summit cairn sits out on this airy ridge, separated from the main path. It overlooks the wild Corrie of the Red Pass. The ridge walking here is high and continuous.

About Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg

The 'Peak of the Red Pass'. The red rock in the pass gives it the name. The ridge forms a massive wall on the south side of Glen Shiel, and was a boundary for the Kintail estates. The stone dyke running along the ridge is a marvel of construction.
