Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais Terrain Block

Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais is the highest mountain in the Glen Strathfarrar and Monar area. It is a massive, complex peak with a distinct conical summit. Standing at the fulcrum of three great ridges, it offers arguably the finest viewpoint in the northern Highlands, with 360-degree panoramas of wilderness. The sense of space and elevation here is immense, as you stand above the deep glens and look out over a sea of peaks stretching to the horizon.

About Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais

The 'Peak of the Grey Corrie'. Its commanding height makes it a 'Grand Vizier' of the north. It was a key point for the Ordnance Survey. The deep corries hold snow for months, feeding the rivers of the glens below.
