Sgurr a' Mhadaidh Terrain Block

Sgurr a' Mhadaidh consists of four distinct pinnacles of rock, rising like castle turrets from the ridge. Only the highest is the Munro summit. It sits adjacent to Sgurr a' Ghreadaidh, offering superb scrambling routes via the An Dorus gap. The complexity of its fox-like ears makes it a favourite for rock climbers.

About Sgurr a' Mhadaidh

The 'Peak of the Fox'. Foxes were a common sight in the corries. The An Dorus gap ('The Door') is a famous obstacle on the ridge traverse, requiring a calm head and steady hands. The multiple tops have confused many a bagger in the mist.
