Sgurr a' Mhaim Terrain Block

Sgùrr a' Mhàim is a stunning peak in the Mamores, easily recognised by the 'cap' of white quartzite scree that covers its summit, often looking like snow. It is the second highest of the Mamores and connected to the main ridge by the notorious 'Devil's Ridge'. The descent of its northern spur into Glen Nevis is a knee-jarring classic.

About Sgurr a' Mhaim

The 'Peak of the Breast' or 'Pass'. The Devil's Ridge is the defining feature, a jagged spine of rock that tests the nerve. It is often the final peak of the classic Ring of Steall circuit, leaving a lasting impression of airy adventure.
