Sgurr an Doire Leathain Terrain Block

Sgurr an Doire Leathain is the middle peak of the South Glen Shiel Ridge. It sends a long, flat-topped spur out to the north, which is the finest viewpoint on the entire ridge. Looking down into Glen Shiel from here is breathtaking. It is almost always traversed as part of the 7-Munro chain.

About Sgurr an Doire Leathain

The 'Peak of the Broad Thicket'. The name refers to the ancient woods that once clothed the lower slopes of Glen Shiel. The ridge itself is high and grassy, a highway in the sky for the fit hillwalker.
