True to its name—the 'Peak of the Udder'—this peak served as a vital landmark for siglos, its ridges historically vital for the wild deer herds and the ancient highland clans. Historically, it was part of the vast royal hunting grounds of the Moidart estates, its lands historically part of the ancient ecclesiastical and military history of the region. Geologically, it is part of the Moine supergroup, its rocks recording millions of years of tectonic pressure, now evident in its folded rocks and sharp ridges. Today, it remains a peak for the connoisseur, often climbed from Glenfinnan to appreciate its unique perspective on the wild, untamed heritage of the West Highlands, offering a quiet, uncompromised encounter with the wild spirit of the hills.
