Sgurr Choinnich Mòr Terrain Block

Sgùrr Choinnich Mòr sits at the western end of the Grey Corries ridge. It is a fine, pointed peak offering a perfect viewpoint for the eastern face of the Aonachs. While the main Grey Corries ridge is known for quartzite, Sgùrr Choinnich Mòr has a mix of grassy slopes and rocky crests, providing a grand finale to the ridge traverse.

About Sgurr Choinnich Mòr

The 'Big Peak of the Moss' (or Kenneth's Peak). The Grey Corries are famous for their long, continuous ridge. Sgurr Choinnich Mòr is a key bastion in this wall of stone. Its white slopes have served as a landmark for sailors in Loch Linnhe.
