Sgurr Fhuar-thuill Terrain Block

Sgurr Fhuar-thuill is the second highest peak in the Glen Strathfarrar circuit. It is a massive mountain with fierce corries on its eastern flank. The summit ridge is broad, leading to a steep descent. It offers a commanding view over the remote Monar hills, with the feeling of being deep in the Highlands. The walk along the ridge to reach it is high and continuous, providing a true mountaineering experience in a wild setting.

About Sgurr Fhuar-thuill

The 'Peak of the Cold Hollow'. The corries here hold snow late and are indeed cold places. As part of the Strathfarrar ridge, it was strictly protected as a private hunting estate for generations, maintaining its wild feel.
