Sgurr Fhuaran Terrain Block

Sgurr Fhuaran is the highest and central peak of the Five Sisters of Kintail. It is a soaring pyramid of grass and rock that dominates Glen Shiel. The summit is a tiny point where three ridges meet. The steep, direct West Ridge is a classic relentless ascent, but the peak is usually gained as the climax of the ridge traverse.

The 'Peak of the Spring' or 'Well'. One of the most photographed mountains in Scotland due to its perfect shape. The Five Sisters are legendary, said to be five sisters waiting for suitors who never returned. Sgurr Fhuaran is the tallest sister.
